This exciting contest is ideal for students aged 6-12, but any student aged 5-18 is welcome to enter.

Your students can pick any person, place or event from history to inspire their mini saga, a story told in just 100 words. (Or you can provide this for them!)

From discovering a pharaoh's tomb or a soldier in the trenches to being a president or an explorer it's a great way to tie in creative writing with your current history topic, to get your students having a bit of fun, and to create original short stories.

There are many additional resources ready to have your students raring to write, including a Google Slides Presentation!

Only one entry per student, there is no limit to the number of entries per school. Teachers please submit your entries altogether where possible!

Entries must be the students' own original work.

Mini sagas can be submitted on the entry form or a sheet of paper or typed (on a computer or using the Online Writing Portal)

Mini sagas have a 100-word limit (the title is not included in the word limit).

If a story starter/ending is used, it must be included in the 100-word limit.

Each student's name, age and school name should be included on their entry.
